During Worshipful
Brother Bob Wilson’s year an Master brothers began
planning building of a new lodge. Worshipful Brother Bob and
many brothers begin visiting other lodges and determining "what was
working best". The resulting design included main lodge room
measurements coinciding with degree work. This room length is such that
upon competition of the verbal portion of the degree the length of the
room has been covered.
Beginning with $7,000 in 1960 and spending $27,000 by competition in 1964
the current lodge building was constructed. Contributions and fundraisers
provided the additional $ 20,000. The contribution of many many hours and
days of labor, men and equipment from lodge brothers contributed
significantly to the current building appraised at $ 250,000 in 1964. The
following list contains many brothers contributing money, material,
equipment and expertise to the construction project. Many of these people
received a life membership for their special efforts.
- Bro. Bob Wilson WM of the lodge at beginning of
planning state.
- Bro. Roy Shedrick, Chairman of the building
committee.
- Bro. Fred Waite, Member, Building Committee
- Bro. Fay Folder, Member Building Committee
- Bro. Fred Snyder, Electrical and Air Conditioning.

field work crew, at no charge

- Bro. Bob Wilson Secretary from 1961 – 1972handled
the money & books.
- Bro. Hub Denton Brick layer brought his crew and

Safeway Food Grocery Company bought a property with buildings needing
removal. The lodge signed a contract stipulating complete removal within
30 days, keeping the materials for the effort. Almost all lodge brothers
pitched in and assisted in demolition, transportation, and unloading of
building material. After all was done, in 1964 the surplus material was
sold for $ 2,000 and all were pleased.
